Who is eligible?

You will automatically be considered for this scholarship if you:

• have been offered a place on LLB Law (Graduate Entry)
• are a national of, or your permanent home address is in Canada
• and are an international fee paying applicant

International students from other countries may be eligible for our other scholarships and bursaries.

Combining scholarship awards

In 2026/27 many of our scholarship awards can be combined to increase the overall scholarship package.

Details of our full suite of scholarships for 2027/28, including those that can be combined with the Canada Law scholarship, will be published later in 2026. In the meantime, you may wish to explore our scholarships and bursaries for entry in 2026/27.

How to apply

There is no separate application process for this scholarship. Eligible students will be identified automatically through their application

The scholarship will be awarded when you meet the conditions of your offer, or when you accept your unconditional offer.

Payment of the scholarship

The award will be worth £3,000 and will be awarded as a tuition fee reduction for each year of study.

Further information

• The scholarship is only available for the LLB Law (Graduate Entry) programme at Lancaster University Bailrigg campus.
• You must meet or exceed the conditions of your offer to receive the scholarship. If you already have your academic results at the point you apply, you must meet the published entry requirements for your course.
• You are not eligible to receive the Canada Law Scholarship - Undergraduate for any repeated years of study.
• Awardees must be classed as 'overseas' or ‘international' fee-paying students for tuition fee purposes, for the duration of their studies. If you are awarded the scholarship and are subsequently reassessed as a ‘home’ fee-payer, you will no longer be eligible for the scholarship.
• This scholarship cannot be deferred to a future year of entry. If you do choose to defer your offer, your application will be reassessed for any scholarships you might be eligible for in that year of entry.

Lancaster University reserves the right to withdraw this scholarship or bursary if award holders are subsequently found to be ineligible or if the terms and conditions of the scholarship are not adhered to.
