Testimonials

RSPCA

Brian Reeves, Head of Volunteer Experience, RSPCA

I have been impressed with the MBA student team throughout the whole process. They were professional, their meetings were well structured and constructive, and I felt confident in working with them throughout the project. The evidence is clear and compelling and provides a real opportunity for the sector to do more with less and to address a concern that we all share. The solution was well detailed with pathway options and an overview of the proposed digital solution, costs, implementation recommendation and risks. I am very pleased with the result and look forward to sharing this with colleagues across the RSPCA and within the sector.

“The calibre of students that we have interviewed at Lancaster has been top notch, and we continue to be impressed not only by their intellect but also their ability to apply their skills to industry-grade problems, especially in a fast-paced environment like Silicon Valley. We hope to establish a high-quality hiring pipeline of data science candidates from Lancaster University, and our recent hire is clearly no exception—he has been a great team player on the data team.''

The main focus of the project was really to understand where we were currently, in and around key job profiles [i.e.] are we pitching the expectations at the correct level but are we also ensuring then that we are training and upskilling people to be able to achieve those core responsibilities. One of the main things that made me look immediately at the Management School was the ability to do a very quick sprint project like this with a Master’s cohort. It wasn’t very arduous going into a scope, it was quite a high-level scope and having the ability to turn something around quite quickly was key as well. It’s been really beneficial both from a what have we learnt point of view, but also understanding what we can do in the future.
