Dr. Mariko Nishizawa speaking on "The Nuclear Disaster of Fukushima and the Current State of Decommissioning and Community Reconstruction".

On behalf of Nuclear Lancaster, the Nuclear Science & Technology Research Group in Engineering and the Nuclear Engineering MEng teaching team, I'm pleased to announce that we are going to be visited by Dr. Mariko Nishizawa this Thursday, 4th June. Mariko is an alumnus of Lancaster University, having graduated with an MSc in European Environmental Policy and Regulation in 1997.

However, Mariko is now a member of the Nuclear Reform Monitoring Committee, overseeing the response to the Fukushima Disaster and she has kindly offered to give a talk the Thursday entitled:

"The Nuclear Disaster of Fukushima and the Current State of Decommissioning and Community Reconstruction".

The talk will be in the lecture theatre on B floor of Engineering Building 2, at 11 am on Thursday 4th June. Please come along - all are welcome.
