Research Overview

My research explores how everyday experiences and practices in education relate to the political economy of digital technology, including structural dynamics such as datafication, platformisation and assetisation. I draw on sociological understandings of the digital and use qualitative and creative methods to understand how emerging technologies in education can be used and governed ethically and responsibly to minimise harms and support student learning, agency and equity.
