Booking is now open for the RHC's 53rd Annual Archaeology Forum. Join us on Saturday 7 March for our annual roundup of the year's development's in archaeology and related technology in the North West. From Roman excavations at Brougham to the impact of animals on archaeology, it's a full day of fascinating presentations with a live Q&A session with all speakers. This is a hybrid event, with presentations before a live audience also available via a Microsoft Teams link for those unable to attend in person. Full details are available on our Events page. Meanwhile, tickets are still available for our annual study day with Dr Alan Crosby (British Association for Local History). On Saturday 7 February 2026, Alan will be looking at Roads and Traffic in the North West over four key historical periods. These one-man events are always very popular, and tickets are going fast - so don't delay, get your tickets through the Online Store before we sell out!
These events will take place in our usual on-campus venue, the university library's event space at the rear of the ground floor. Remember parking charges will apply in 2026.

Our academic expertise, our students, and our experience of event management and publishing can help to support heritage organisations in the region.
The RHC is developing activities to help schools in the North West engage with the local history element in the school curriculum.
