Management School celebrates annual Dean’s Awards
The awards recognise individuals and teams who have made exceptional contributions to the School community, celebrating achievements across teaching, research, professional services, student experience and external engagement.
LUMS Dean, Professor Claire Leitch presented the awards during a celebration event in the newly refurbished Management School Hub.
“It is always a pleasure to recognise the dedication, creativity and achievements of our colleagues and students through the Dean’s Awards,” said Professor Leitch.
“Every year we receive a fabulous range of nominations which reflect the talent, commitment and community spirit we thrive on as a School.
“The ceremony once again highlighted the strong sense of community we have and the outstanding contributions made by colleagues and students throughout the year.
“Congratulations to all of those nominated and to this year’s winners. Being recognised by fellow colleagues and students is a significant achievement and reflects the positive impact individuals and teams have made.”
As well as individual and team awards, a special recognition award was presented to Pete Cornwall for his exceptional leadership and support during a challenging travel disruption affecting LUMS colleagues returning from an international recruitment trip earlier this year. Pete was recognised for his calm, compassionate and professional approach in supporting colleagues and coordinating arrangements during a highly uncertain situation.
Nominations were received from throughout the School. They highlight the breadth of activity across LUMS, from innovative teaching and student support to research collaboration, outreach and community-building initiatives.
